Rentacars informed that Kazakhstan's fleet has been steadily aging in recent years. For the first quarter of this year, 68.6% of the re-registered vehicles were cars that are more than ten years old.In three months, the Administrative Police registered vehicles in the amount of 284,649. These figures exceed last year's figures by 13.6%. The number of cars that changed ownership and were re-registered amounted to 269,353. This figure exceeds last year's data by 12.3%. Cars registered for the first time number 12,296 models. Compared to the same indicator in 2017, these data are 42.4% higher.
Data from March 2018 compared to March 2017:A total of 97,050 vehicles were registered, which is 9.9% higher; 91,782 vehicles were resold for the second time, which is 8.9% more.Data from the first quarter of 2018 vehicle registration by age:

In total, 3.85 million passenger cars were registered in Kazakhstan at the beginning of 2018. At the same time, the number of used vehicles, which are more than ten years old, has increased significantly. Their number has grown to 2.35 million units, which is an increase of 79,000. As for the data on the old car recycling program in 2017, Kazakhstanis disposed of about 47,000 units of cars. The oldest vehicle that was given to recycling was a 1942 Moskvich.
